And I know that pattern intimately.
For more than 14 years, I built businesses, led communities, made millions of dollars, made decisions, and became really fcking good at being the woman who could handle it all.
In business, that energy worked. It made me successful, highly respected, sharp, and powerful. But I didn’t know how to turn it off.
And that same energy that helped me win in business started bleeding into my marriage in ways I couldn’t fully see at the time. Over time, it ate away at the polarity and charge that brings (and keeps) two people together.
Then after my 16-year relationship dissolved, I had to sit with the very uncomfortable truth that success had taught me how to lead…but it had not taught me how to be deeply met.
I knew how to build companies, make money, and hold everything together. But I didn’t yet know how to fully soften into a dynamic where I could be loved, led, pursued, and poured into by a man without feeling like I had to control the entire thing.
That realization humbled me, because I could finally see the pattern I was unknowingly living in. And once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee how many successful women were also living in this identity and dynamic.
Women who could lead a company, command a room, and make big moves…but still didn’t know how to let a man fully hold them. Women who had standards in theory, but kept making exceptions for men who were vague, inconsistent, or low effort. Women who were powerful as hell, but tired of being the man in their love lives.
